The bulk of the power generated by a Harley Davidson bike comes from its big displacement engine. The Harley-Davidson motorcycle company has a long history of developing high-performance engines. The most notable one, the Live Wire engine that replaced its original V8 in 1948 with an aluminum block and steel heads for 3,500 rpm twin-cam heads producing 120–130 psi at peak power output on rear-wheel dynamometer tests while generating torque up to 140 pounds-feet.

The bikers who enjoy riding sportbikes know that the performance of a bike can be improved with more power.
